McWorld

I have traveled throughout the world extensively to countries like Costa Rice, Peru, Argentina, France, Thailand, Morocco and Cambodia. All these countries, apart from their languages, customs, dances, and lifestyles all have a common understanding of what a Happy Meal is or a Venti Caramel Frappuccino is. This is the result a of today's modern society heightened globalization. The benefits of Globalization is always debate along with its cons. Some believe that globalization is a good way for underdeveloped countries to become more interconnected with other more developed countries. Others argue that globalization is turning out planet into a McWorld where everyone is connected by Coca-Cola, Starbucks, and Nike actually giving more power to those nations that endorse these companies. Although these countries try to instill some kind culture into these companies by making Aji packs in Peru and giving Beer in Europe within the McDonald's enterprise, the company sends a message that reads: USA.

Children are not going home to eat mom's cooking, they're stopping to buy quarter pounders around the corner robbing countries across the globe of their culture. People like it though which is why companies would ask "why stop?" if the profits keep rising . It's only a matter of time before the world is left with one mass culture, cuisine, weight (OVERweight) and speedy drive by lifestyles.
