Ideological shifts in men's lives

I found ideological shifts in these days very interesting. In the past, men should be strong, big, and far from beauty. However, in these days, men start to care about themselves especially their appearances. Their hairstyles and fashions become sort of girlish. Some of men who are enormously interested in women fashion start to choose their clothes in women’s sections. Long cardigans which are mostly popular for women become one of men’s necessary cloths to become fashionable. Skinny jeans are other examples that make men look girlish and even skinner which past men would refuse to wear as they want to be viewed strong, muscular. Also, not only in fashion, but also in cosmetics, men start to get involved actively. They go to cosmetic shops and choose many skins and lotions to care their face. Moreover, what is more interesting is that men start to get cosmetic surgeries like most of women do. In Asia, cosmetic surgeries are very popular. Most of women try to have surgeries. Beauty becomes one of the great parts in men’s life. They want to be attractive as much as women do. Thus, this ideological shift in men’s life is very interesting; their lives start to be focused on beauty like women’s and as this huge shift occurs, no men are blamed for pursuing beauty. It is totally acceptable in these days for men to care about fashion, appearance, and themselves.
